On Friday March 6th, 2020 His Eminence Jangtse Choeje Kyabje Gosok Rinpoche, who is close to the Gaden Tripa position, will present Geshe Certificates to the graduating students. This is a responsibility which Rinpoche has traditionally carried out for the Gelugpa monks in the past in Nepal. Rinpoche will also give presentations to top cream graduates of ten other Gelugpa monasteries in Nepal.
On Monday March 9, 2020, which corresponds to the 15th day of the Great Prayer Festival, the main head lama of the Great Prayer Festival will give audience to the general public. The public will also have an opportunity to view the great butter sculpture offerings.
On Tuesday March 10, 2020 there will be an invocation of Buddha Maitreya. This is done by carrying an image of Buddha Maitreya on a sedan chair throne around the monastery and then bringing it in the main temple of the monastery. This will be followed by dismantling great butter sculptures.
In the afternoon of Tuesday March 10, 2020 at 4:00pm local time His Eminence Jangtse Choeje Kyabje Gosok Rinpoche will acknowledge and give presents to the sponsors of the Great Prayer Festival.
